I have used NetSuite since 2015, leading multiple, successful NetSuite system implementations and NetSuite Administrator setups. Not every project requires custom scripting or support from a developer. Sometimes you need help getting the most out of NetSuite by someone who knows how to configure existing NetSuite features and settings that are accessible to the end-user. Working with you, I take a whole business approach to the solutions I design and implement. You will always know exactly what I have done, how it works, and most importantly you will be able to change or update any of the configurations I have made with confidence.
Bringing a real-world working knowledge of NetSuite from the administrator and user perspective. I can help you clean up your setup, improve operational efficiency, and design effective processes.
NetSuite Implementation Experience
A successful implementation or configuration starts with a good business blueprint. You shouldn’t have to bend your business processes to fit into the NetSuite system framework. The business processes should lead and inform the NetSuite setup design. Simply put, when setting up or configuring NetSuite, before you start, you have to know what business processes you are going to implement, and then those business processes should be mapped to the system design. Otherwise, you drift off-topic, experience feature creep, or otherwise get lost along the way and end up with a solution that doesn’t work for business.
Another benefit of business blueprinting is that many businesses find unexpected business process and efficiency improvements merely through the act of putting things down on paper and seeing how things are working. Once the desired/optimal business processes are blueprinted, you can continue with a successful implementation that you will be happy with for years to come.
It should be pointed out that not every business problem requires a NetSuite solution. Since I take a whole-business approach, I may recommend internal control improvements, new separation of responsibilities, or another system’s solution that is more aligned to your business needs. Since I’m not a NetSuite developer, I will not lead with a NetSuite-firs solution if I don’t believe it is the right approach.

NetSuite Configuration
Configuration is taking advantage of existing NetSuite features and settings to make NetSuite work for your business.
NetSuite comes, out of the box, with several features and settings that don’t require coding or a developer and can be configured to make NetSuite work for your business. For example, as you may already know, you can add custom fields to existing records. You can also create entirely new record types to store virtually any type of data that you want in NetSuite. Taking it one step further, you can create custom segments, things like departments and classes, that can be used across record types. Using Saved Searches and Workflows, you can automate your configurations to improve efficiency, decrease errors, and gain additional insights into your business. Best of all, these configurations are transparent to you. You will always know what I have done and how to make changes with confidence.
Customization is adding additional functionality to NetSuite via scripting or coding.
NetSuite comes with a scripting language, SuiteScript, that developers use to customize NetSuite. SuiteScript is built on JavaScript and is used by developers to do things that can’t be done via the out of the box features, settings, or configurations. One great example is using the API to connect to external systems. Customizations are great in the right circumstances. But the problem with customizations is that they are built on code and you have to be a developer to use and understand them. So, when the code is turned on and given to the client if any further work or updates need to be done, a developer needs to be called in.

NetSuite End-User Experience
I have been using NetSuite as an actual user since 2015. I share the same frustrations you are experiencing since I’m right there alongside you. The solutions I offer are based on my own experience and understanding of how the actual NetSuite user uses the system. I know what it is like when someone else sets something up on NetSuite and I don’t know what they did or why. Sometimes it doesn’t work as expected. And sometimes business needs change. It can be extremely frustrating and time-consuming, and a little scary, when you don’t how something works or how to change it. All of my solutions are transparent to you. I will show you, in writing, how I set everything up, how it works, and how to make changes to it.
